You've been in the Foothills for so long and you have no idea where your son or Knox are. There is a part of you that is glad that the two seem to spend so much time together, but a bigger part of you longs for Milo to spend just as much time with you. He's growing up so fast, you can't really see it, but in the times when he is with you you can feel it and it makes your heart ache. You wonder if your mother felt the same way while you and your brother were growing up (in the brief time that you spent with her) and you wonder if that feeling of sadness will ever go away or if it will continue to grow along with your son. "Milo!" You call out for him suddenly, your ears tilted forward as you listen to the fading echo of your voice. You hope, you pray that he's close and will hear you, that he'll answer you. You hope that if he is that he'll run to you so you can embrace him and hold him because it is what you need right at that moment. When you hear no answer you frown and you begin to wander from the very heart of the herd that Knox had brought you to when you were pregnant with his child. Your hooves carry you toward the borders, but it is probably only dumb luck that you're heading in the right direction. Your movement is slow, each hoof placed carefully so you do not trip over some obstacle in your path or step off the side of a cliff (because you still don't really know what the layout of the Falls is like) "Milo!" You call out for your son again, but this time you also call out two other names and hope that one of them answers you. "Knox! Manhattan!" Please be close. You hope and wish as you wait silently for one of them to hear and answer your calls. |
