Bells sing within her ears and alerts her that it’s time to come alive even though she is tired and cold, not physically but mentally. Curiosity swallows her brother whole. Once his meal has been finished, she is next to succumb, led on by the foreign sensation of deja vu. It makes her want to move with speed that she’s ignored in these times. Silver wings erupt from a black body before the rest of his body bleeds into a new one, preparing for a journey he cannot hardly wait for. Her bones are tired and weak, her mind dull and bored, her drive soothed by time and a baby she doesn’t know she carries. With time, an image she can only remember once, one from when things were better but edging towards disaster. It slips fear and worry into her weary heart like she is a drink to be tainted. A gift is given to her in exchange for her recent efforts made towards facing the world head on. Amara is there. Amara is there for her to be with and stand beside, to trust with such faith that she will always be there for her whether she needs her or not. Hobgoblin’s eyes are crafted from stone and glazed in ice frozen from the blood of his rage. The monster is back. The monster suffers because they are too selfish to accept Sikeax’s aid when it was given without thought of their permission, only to see them healthy. The monster makes his lips curl up against his scalpel teeth and a hiss slither from his forked tongue. Sia’s muzzle and cheek bone reach for the smaller decaying beast, looking to rub along their mud-coloured body. From atop his temple, he snaps with unheeded aggression in their direction with no particular aim. No words spill from her lips, and in their public display of affection ceremony, time feels as if it slows. Voice dwindle and the merry sounds of excitement escape her ears. Oh, how all she can think about is how nice it is to know there is a face she knows within a crowd of strangers who would never know her endless need for trust and companionship.
