Jealous the wind whipped around him clutching the words for itself. The sand slowly but surely made its way up his legs; the sand could not care less about his words, the sand is all about contact. Caenan was theirs! And they miss their wild boy, the son of the sea. Like a child grown reporting adventures to parents Caenan was telling the Endless Blue about his time away. He told her about those that he had met, about his new role as a Protector, about the generous turtle, and of the strange magic he was trying to figure out. The pirate did not know what to think about the magic. Was it a gift? Would he ever be capable of controlling it? Or was it a curse? One moment he was his normal self the next he could find himself to be shoved forward into an older age or dropped into being a colt once more. The effects lasted anywhere between hours and days. The sight of another body lit by moonlight further down the shore caught his attention. Caenan doubted that the mare he approached had ever looked prettier than what she did on this night. Her grey body belonged more to soft night shadows than to the garish sun. She was a welcome distraction from his thoughts. Once he reached her words slipped quietly from his lips, hushed by the nighttime,"Who is it that you visit? Do you admire the moon or do you yearn for the sea?" The mare struck a memory he should have remembered but he did not. The stallion's memories tried to catch his attention but like a buzzing fly he batted them away. Caenan was too occupied with trying to push away persistent thoughts about the magic that coursed through his body to pay the past any mind. @Syrena I had to jump in on this. Would you like to unarchive the thread that we were going to have with this pair? I hinted at that thread just in case but left it vague for in case you don't. |
