"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

Doppleganger Plot ☼ - 6/20/13 - The God of Time is still struggling to close the rift though which the dopplegangers have come. ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

The pale stallion picked his way through the landscape, making note of which places were littered with jagged glass and which weren't. After recently discovering the glass' existence, Quentin had developed an interest in crafting with it. Of course, he'd yet to master or even attempt the act, but none the less, Quentin had begun to gather the most attractive pieces. That was a start right?
Snorting, the male halted, his hazel eyes taking in his current surroundings. His new home was crowded with trees and, if one dared to venture, the sudden drop of cliffs seemed to sneak up on you. He'd made the mistake of gallivanting around the land and had nearly found himself dropping into the water below. Shaking his head, the stud continued on. "It's quiet, no?"
Quentin halted at the mutterings of the voices in his head. He noticed the silence earlier, but hadn't really paid it any heed.“It is....” There were no birds chirping, at least, none in earshot. Shifting his weight from hoof to hoof, the stallion's body language voiced his uneasiness. Suddenly, a small red bird swooped down and grabbed at the stallion's mane before flying off to the highest branch on the nearest tree. Quentin squealed in surprise, hazel eyes wide and wings fluttering in distress.
Huffing loudly, the stud shook his head and glared at the creature.“You little shit. Come down here and I'll fight you like a man.” Baring his teeth, the brute stomped a light colored hoof. “Oh yes, so big and bad. Fighting a little bird will really prove a point....” Grunting, Quentin realized just how true of a statement that was and sighed in defeat. He continued on, looking over his shoulder at the feathered beast one last time before sticking his tongue out in childish taunting before trotting back to the wall.
“It's those luscious locks. Not even the beasts can keep their...talons off you.” He grinned at the voice, now strutting as he moved on. He kept his attention on the ground, at once forgetting that he'd be snuck up on once before. The voices in his head didn't bother to warn him about his carelessness either, so on he went gathering random bits of glass. Sooner or later he'd get to work on his crafting abilities.
Metallic, earthen tones shifted in the trees and there was a sudden, sharp cry of victory. Firmly grasped in a clawed hand was the red bird that had, just moments before, been terrorizing the one the Bronze had been watching. Lightning yellow eyes shifted down to the insect-winged one (the dragon assumed him to be a mare) and the draconian beast glided from the Oragemoon-kissed canopy of the trees. Several clicks and whistles left the beast as he attempted a half circle wide around the male-assumed-female, before the companion dropped the crimson attacker at pale hooves. The reptile shifted his head upwards, face glowing with delight and tail flicking in quite a feline manner. Sharp, deadly teeth exposed themselves in a wide grin.
Several yards behind, the roaned master broke through the treeline. "Solomon." He growled, amber eyes ablaze. You asshole. He cast a dark, fiery glare at the smiling drake. The creature seemed unphased by this outburst from his bondmate, and continued to click and trill at the pretty pegasus. We've never seen one like this. Solomon mused, finally looking with innocent yellow eyes towards the muscled roan. Nearly purring, the dragon scuttled towards his bondmate and clambered up until he was perched on the stallion's withers. I am making us friends.
Argen rolled his eyes at the cold-blooded's antics, and cleared his throat. "If he was bothering you, you could have just kicked him." Argen said to the stranger, eyeing the pegasus carefully. If not for the overpowering scent of stallion on the pretty thing, Argen would have suspected it to be a mare he stood before. The dun lifted a brow, blond tail flicking behind him curiously, much like Solomon's.
A sudden cry caught the stallion's attention and he threw his head to the sky, looking for the source. At first, he noticed nothing but the movement of branches. “That little bastard is aching for a fight,” he grumbled, sneering in the direction he'd just come from. It didn't bother to occur to the fairy stud that the sound he'd just heard was nothing like what the red heathen would've made.
It was then that the beast came into view and Quentin's eyes widened in fear. “The hell....” Skittering to the side as the beast landed, the brute snorted. Raising a hoof and pawing at the air, he squealed a warning. It was then that he noticed the reptile...thing had brought him the red demon that had assaulted him earlier. Lowering his hoof and relaxing slightly, Quentin tilted his head slightly, suddenly curious. Though the beast had sharp, threatening teeth, he seemed pleased with his capture and kill.
“Solomon” At the sound of another voice, Quentin jumped slightly before arching his neck around and glaring at the direction it had come from. “Everyone is after you today.” The male snorted in agreement. The winged creature continued his foreign noises, though Quentin ignored it for the time being, more focused on the equine that had appeared. However, that didn't last long as the beast moved towards the other male, causing the winged stallion to back up a few steps.
“If he was bothering you, you could have just kicked him.” Quentin snorted, tossing his forelock from his hazel gaze. “Of course, so then he'd attack me instead.” The look on the male's face showed just how much he approved of that idea. His voice, though obviously more feminine than any other male's still had the slight deepness that no female could achieve. Grunting almost silently, wings fluttered in thought. “Quentin at your service, darling.” He nodded his head to both equine and winged beast, though he watched the latter carefully.
