History: Raised in a northern raiding culture, Huldra was selected at a very young age to the the symbolic incarnation of the earth goddess, as such she was protected, pampered and shown a great deal of deference. As a gift she was also given the baby Sigrún, to be her companion. In her third year, she presided over her tribe’s spring festival which culminated in the loss of her virginity in the fertility ritual. Her symbolic duty completed, Huldra was passed over and her position given to another. Disillusioned and embittered by her fall from grace, Huldra left, burning bridges as she went.
