"Any existence deprived of freedom is a kind of death" -- Michel Aoun

She thinks perhaps she has been too hard on them, too fierce and quick to bite at something she doesn't know or understand. It is not unlike her, but it is not the better part of her, and so she tries to fix it, if she can. She would never say that she thought these things, but her behavior shifts in a mild way, a hand extended in adventure rather than rebuke.

"Come," she whispers to her girls as the pre-dawnlight begins its chasing of shadows. It is cold this time of year, and her feathers bristle against the hardness of the world. Like a warm blanket she is remiss to leave behind the Throat at such an hour in such a season, but this is not for her, this is for them.

They wanted to explore, and she was fine with that, but she worried for their safety and their sensibility alone. She was sure Zero had explored Helovia even in his youth, but then he had never come home boasting of monsters and toting a bonded with him - they had, and fast, as if they couldn't wait to outgrow the sands and her side which they barely knew. They stiffened at her hostility though, ignored her lectures (or worse, talked back), and utterly disregarded her experiences. Her son...her son only took a strong look, or a short quip, or a well phrased story and he fell in line, so it was harder for her to adjust to the difference in them, because Zero had set in her certain expectations of her children. It wasn't fair though, because each was unique, but in the end, they were her children and she owed it to them to train them on the world, in whatever way worked best.

So, against her better judgement, she promised them to raze the forests with them. Zekle was already up, and she glanced at him with a smile, always glad fro his comfort and participation. So on fresh hooves they struck out, flaming wings bearing her son and she across the bridge into the beyond while the girls likely utilized their own abilities. Quick not to let that sour any moods, Ampere tried to rouse them into a game of chase and tag, and so they would play across the realm while gold dusted across their backs. Snow was sprinkled in some places they moved through, and though Ampere was sure they had never seen the stuff yet (maybe they had, she couldn't tell what was new to them any more), she carried on towards something slightly more tropical. Her encounters with the Aurora Basin had made her reluctant of ice and snow, a desert-dweller at heart.
The Green Labyrinth would surely prove playground enough for her tiny titans. She could regal them with the recent god fights, of the riftians poured through portals, of this new realm appearing nearly overnight with so many wonders and mysteries. There was much to learn here, for all of them.

It was something else that drew Ampere's attention once they had arrived though, a voice, barely audible among the jungle noise, but heard all the same. Cautious, her children in tow after all, Ampere crept forward to investigate, wanting to know of any threats before having them sprung upon her. What she saw certainly surprised her, and offered some form of terror to her soul, but was safe otherwise.

"You've bonded," she murmured with a noticeable sadness to the pale stallion she'd met before (what was his name, Dayo? Mayo? Neigho?). In response her own beast appeared from the foliage above, enamored with this habitat. He let his antics carry him from bough to bough, proudly trilling his acrobatics as he went, his voice a mere addition to the many birds all around. "A companion," she went on to clarify, unsure how well versed this stud was on the nuances of Helovia. "It will need your help to grow, especially at first, and it will stay with you for as long as either of you live. Have you ever taken care of something before?"
