Cure :: Ru is in part unable to speak, because a tumour prevents specific nerves from allowing her to form the words. Voice box also has some physical abnormalities to it. Will eventually become malignant as she ages. Ru would wish to be 'healed' one day. Would be interesting if one of the GODS replaced the tumor with an enchanted metal - like silver, that would show against her face where the certain nerves connect.

Coloration or Design:Saiph has inherited the opposite traits of his father. Whereas he was hot, Saiph is cold. In terms of body structure however, they share similar characteristics. A chiseled head with soft, peach rimmed eyes lead to a pink muzzle. Where the curls of hair should stand at his chin, a cascade of brooding clouds form his beard. But since it is a small accumilation of cloud, his beard often appears as an every rolling wisp. Saiph’s crown is a solid white, and seems to sprout out with a sharpened tip, branch like, haphazard barbs spike up and outward with the same. Long, pinkish ears protrude from his head, where at last his long neck protrudes to meet his slim body.

The stallion has aquired sloping shoulders and deep chest. His back is not as long as his akhal-teke ancestors, but is just about longer than the average thoroughbred. Long legs sport his frame, and propel him, often, at a graceful pace. White hooves are split, along with legs that are ‘feathered’ with a constant supply of puffy, rolling clouds. The same is found along his leonine tail, especially at its ends.

But Saiph’s greatest spectacle appears to be his mane. It is often the site of greatest cloud production. Often, seemingly, rolling out from the hidden crest of his neck. But these clouds are not just simply clouds. Saiph’s body appears to be locked at frigid temperature. Producing clouds that only ever snow, and often, leave a trail of wet behind him.

During the warmer seasons, the clouds will not appear as prominent, and tend to cling to the edges of his body where they are produced. Though his body, having to constantly produce these clouds makes the stallion thirsty far more quicker than the average horse. He has learned to become more tolerant over the course of his young life, but Saiph still finds himself gravitating towards large bodies of water.

Furthermore, he is less tolerant of the summer months and perfectly at ease with the frigid winters.

-- of note: there are several scars that litter his form.

Personality:Saiph can put on a façade for the world, so long as it protects him from actually caring for people. He is often kind as a stranger, and light humored. He prefers to lighten the situation up, rather than delve too far down towards pessimism. As this stranger he is equally happy to learn of his fellows. At times it is just as rewarding to appear helpful and chivalrous to acquire new allies; but to say that he is truly concerned for those around him misses the mark.

At his center he has already lost much of himself (his former self). Emotions rarely make their way to him, and the world is a very grey, monotone reality for Saiph. Consistent to his nature, however, is his determination, work ethic, and persistence. He does not possess the vision to make more of himself, so he settles by finding someone he believes will use him best.

History:Saiph was born out of a mother he never knew, because by the will of his powers they killed her instead. Much like his father before him. The constantly cold state of his clouds began to develop days before his birth. It was with the help of his father’s horn that he escaped the womb of his mother, and with the assistance of the herd’s healer Saiph was able to take breath.

But his mother was greatly loved in the unicorn herd. Her death did not bode well with the herd populace. Despite having sired three other foals, his father – a unicorn’s whose blood composed of molten lava – agreed to take the child with him once weaned.

Saiph partially bonded with the nurse mare that was given charge over him. But the children were wary of him, despite the mare’s nurturing attitude. The relationship with his father was not a close one; after his mother’s death, his father rarely saw to him preferring to patrol rather than getting to know his son. At first Saiph did not mind, as long as he had his wet nurse, things appeared bearable and pleasant now and then.

Once weaned, his father called out to him one day. That was the last time he would ever take foot in his birth home. The days ahead of them were silent; his father rarely talked. But they did not stop walking, even when Saiph was sure his legs could go no more, his father pushed them forward regardless. In his young heart, he started to hate his father for everything that had happened up until then.

But then the walking stopped once they had wandered far enough. His father began training him as a fighter, to Saiph’s chagrin. Instead of playing, he spared; and if he wasn’t sparring he was looking for healing herbs and resources, or similarily; spending most of his days moving to build his stamina. The breaks and rest days however appeared tolerable. And despite his father’s silent lips he learned to tolerate such silences. Or he would ask questions of the lessons his father taught him; it appeared to be the only salve that permitted any sort of discussion.

When at last the lessons seemed sparse and few between, one day his father disappeared into the wilderness. There was evidence of his departure. Saiph waited for a week, until he too decided to leave their temporary abode when he was nearly turning three. Purposefully going in the opposite direction of his father’s hoof prints, he wandered along a coastline. Eventually he had wandered far enough into lands that belonged to a society of other, mythical horse creatures.

By chance he was picked up by a group of mercenary type band. Who lived a life solely dedicated to war; heathens who worshiped their god through acts of bloodshed. At first he was treated like a prisoner. And there were many days Saiph was sure he would die. But he pulled through his suffering. Upon seeing his resiliency, Saiph was given a ‘slave’ status. And was pitted against other captured foreigners for sport. Between battles he proved his worth, and was granted access to herd life beyond that of entertainment. After pledging his allegiance to the leader of this group, he followed and obeyed his commands without question.

It was during an invasion that Saiph was captured by the defending herd, among others from his side. As prisoners they were watched and observed, and finally Saiph was brought to one of the herd’s scholars. Who recognized Saiph as a foreigner, and slowly began questioning about him and where he’d come from (among other things). He was later offered a pardon, on the account that he would act as a laborer for the families he had hurt during the invasion (which was later thwarted back).

It had been one of these families that he found himself growing attached to. It would be the first time he enjoyed life – became infatuated, playful and invested in the life he was living. But Saiph had not yet earned his place in this new herd. Technically he was still seen by many of the herd as a disgraceful creature. His rank was below that of a child. So in turn his joy and attachments to the family started to weaken, once he realized that these feelings would not be reciprocated in public. After turning four, his resentment stole his heart away. Having repaid his pardon, he gave thanks and left in the fall.

He resigned himself to wandering the lands, content for having found peace in the quiet (away from people). With only his thoughts to mull over.
