Her eyes continued to flicker between those who emerged from the trees to stand by the cliff. She recognized Dacianna and offered the mare a small smile and a nod in greeting when Alysanne greeted her. She was pleased to see that the mare had made her way to the cliffs. Naerys arrived as well, snaking against her mother’s side (a rare sight nowadays) and seemed just as perturbed about the meeting as her mother. Iona shifted uncomfortably seeing as she was clearly out of the loop about something significant.
The meeting starts. Promotions are discussed. Iona tries not to make a face at the idea of moats and spikes. Like the glass wall isn’t health hazard enough. She uttered a sigh at the idea, knowing that only Aly and maybe Naerys are close enough to hear her. Aly spoke, and it caught Iona off guard to hear her so impassioned. However when Tembovu’s gaze slowly crawled her way she knows that the floor is hers, so to speak.
So, with little fanfare, she does. “The sneaks have been given an assignment, or at least those who could be bothered to show up to the meeting have been given an assignment. I don’t particularly want to repeat myself. I’m sure you understand.” She said, simply. Her eyes flicked over to where Raeden and d’Arcy stood together, and the smallest hint of a smile crossed her lips. She certainly wasn’t going to repeat herself or assign new tasks for those who couldn’t be bothered to heed the call the first time. No. They could seek her out in their own time.
However, she figured that this might not be the most positive note to end her contribution to the meeting. “And congratulations to those promoted,” she added, somewhat awkwardly.
But first, it will piss you off.
