tilney Tilneys gaze blanketed over each of his herd mates as they gathered. His body language remained as open and generally cheerful as was possible in his exhausted state. The first Tilney recognized was Alysanne and then the pretty little Freyja; Many others he had seen about the forest and cliffs but not yet knew their names. Noting the painted filly who tucked herself under Alysannes wing, Tilney realised that Alysanne might be a mother - He didn't know much about her, but this green-eyed girl who stood under her wing held an impressive resemblance. A familiar tainted grey figure paced in at his side and spoke a few words of greeting. Smiling to his friend Glasgow, Tilney glanced from her scarred gaze back to the King and Queen. "How are you Glasgow?" He spoke coolly. For some reason this bronze boy was quite excited for the meeting to begin and stood eagerly at attention. The only edger Tilney recognised in the group by the time the meeting began was Caenan. He appeared to have grown since their last meeting at the threshold. While waiting for the meeting to begin the bronze boy found himself looking for Mbwene. The small ashen figure of Tembovus bonded was not-so easily found huddled in the trees. "Mbwene!" Tilney cooed to the little elephant, whispering his words of thanks to the sun god and watching the kings bombed cheerfully as his lantern lit with a beautiful, warm flame. Maybe the little elephant would feel warmer under the lantern light. The meeting began, Tembovus deep vocals echoing through the windy clearing. Promotions were given to individuals in the fortify ranks, including Caenan! Tilneys wide emerald smile fell upon his friend and he mouthed a silent "good job!" - he didn't want to disrupt the meeting. Tembovu spoke of Calista and her disappearance which easily tied a knot in Talents throat. Where had she gone? "-Tilney,” “In recognition of your work, I welcome you to the ranks of our Moon Doctors.” Glancing either side of his golden bodice, Tilney couldn't quite believe what he had just heard. He was a moon doctor? Already!? "Thank you my King!" the flaxen lad cheered, glancing to the unfamiliar pairs of eyes around him. He felt quite under the spotlight, but couldn't be happier. Alysannes words of congratulations easily warmed his heart even more; He felt so humbled and blessed to be given such a promotion! There was a task at hand though, so Tilney listened up closely. They were to travel south to gather flora! The south was the only place in Helovia Tilney had not been to gather herbs yet, so this would be an exciting journey. With a glance to the others among the healing ranks Tilney noticed some unfamiliar faces and smiled their way, only then did he speak up. "I will go to the Riptide Isles. Anyone is welcome to accompany me but know it will not be an easy journey!" He wouldn't hesitate to aknowledge the fact that he was not blessed with a pair of wings, so the only option of transport to the Isles would be to swim. |
