She had nothing better to do at this point. She wasn't one to actively seek out people or to start conversation, but with Meria safe at home with her father, December she needed to take some time for herself and to relax. Doing so with her little ball of energy was pretty much impossible. Carl was with her this time, happy to be close to his bonded once again instead of with the painted princess that took joy in torturing his soul. He almost had a happy prance in his step, chocolate eyes alert as he made sure to keep an eye on their surroundings. It was a habit he had picked up when they had been gone for a year, and ever since they had gotten back it refused to stop. Her muzzle gently brushed upon her ashy fur, blowing air into it gently before continuing her leisurely pace deeper into the wooded depths of the threshold.

The ground began to shake beneath her hooves, eyes widening in surprise as she looked around, wondering just what the fuck was happening. To her left, a massive tree crashed to the ground. It had been a young one, just managing to lock in its roots, but it was still big enough for the ivory lass to know that whatever had knocked it down had tremendous strength. She didn't have to wait long for the mysterious creature to approach, and she could only stare up at him with utter surprise. He moved roughly, with little care for his surroundings, hyper focused on his destination. Hair covered nearly all of his dark body, war paint marked on his hide, a loose braid hanging from his mane and swaying with each movement he made. She swallowed, collecting her thoughts before watching him devour the stream as if he hadn't be nourished in weeks.

With his girth she highly doubted that was the case. Yet with patience and gentle footing, she waited until he had drank his fill before finally approaching, watching with those eyes of steel and finally speaking in he gruff tone,"Long journey?" She didn't have much to say after that, she could only wait for him to respond or promptly ignore him. Either way, as time passed and she continued to look over the behemoth with a foreign smell and scruffy silhouette, she began to question herself why in the name of the Gods did she want to bring him back to her home? Where little children played and small companions roamed. He looked like the type that could eat them for dinner. But on the flipside of this metaphorical coin, she also knew he would be an excellent asset to them.

His size and demeanor was intimidating, and the way in which he carried himself proved that he was far from weak. A half grown tree being flung to the side almost effortlessly was enough proof of that. Archibald would probably be pleased to have such a strong warrior in his ranks, someone that could patrol and let the Falls know that they meant business. Not that she cared much about her ruler's opinion, but knowing that in the back of her mind that she had earned their approval over something was enough ammo to give her hopes that her and her family might get a little more peace and quiet, and some leeway should something come up. Though these intentions were selfish, it was how she felt she needed to be with her two Czars. It was game with them, acting like she gave a shit about their existence and what they did, even though Midas was, and always be a better ruler than the two could ever be combined. They acted like fucking chickens with their heads cut off, trying to piece together a herd half broken by an unnecessary invasion and merging into it as if they had always been there. That way of thinking wouldn't go far.

Yet December was never one to get involved in politics, she was the one that sat on the sidelines and never went to the voting booths. She remained where she wanted and lived her life, tried to survive with what she had and not expecting anything from anyone in return. So long as she was left alone, she would leave others alone. She supposed it would be the same case with this man, if he wanted to be left alone she would let him be, and be on her way back to a family that caused her blood pressure to rise, but still gave her much more happiness than anything else could have. It was all a waiting game at this point, patiently waiting for a response from the gargantuan, all for her to play the tedious game of pleasant conversation in hopes that he'd actually give a shit about what she had to say.
