Tembovu & Mwebene
Nostrils flared, wide and strained black skin coated by pale velvet on his muzzle. It was one of the few things that had, remarkably, remained soft and unscarred on the Elephant. A scent drifted on the crisp night air— a scent that seemed only to haunt him at night. Katerina. The celestial mare who cloaked herself in the evening’s embrace; an embrace that washed away most inhibitions while pulling out your own shadows to mingle with the darkness.
An ear splayed sideways in uncertainty while the other remained attentive, listening for the soft sound of her pale hoof falls. The astral beauty was wrought with confusion for the King. Each of their encounters had been… Had wavered on ground fraught with tension— emotional and otherwise. He had traced the silken constellation upon her neck; she had traced the rough marking on his barrel… and she had vanishedfled, hidden in the night sky and hovering at the back the meeting.
A long sigh made itself visible around his muzzle, a fleeting could in the starlit night. “Katerina,” his low voice rolled into the evening air. He would not seek out the star-marked; he would not force his company on her. But, with his voice laden with curiosity and craving, he hoped his call would bring her to him.
Mbwene, mostly asleep on her small feet, leaned heavily against his back leg— also anchoring him in place with her calf body. Her trunk wrapped around his leg, head leaning his cannon bone, as a small yawn escaped her. Blurry blue eyes slipped shut as she sent images of her warm, comfortable bed through their bond.
