In tandem, they both appeared - the sun and the moon - and peacefully. Without any bickering and for the world of differences between them they looked so similar. He nodded a greeting to them both - the motion coloured with respect for the Sun God and fondness for his mother. His silver eyes, the same as her eyes, lingered on the beautiful, violet mare. Until it was her turn to speak, in that familiar cooing voice - the familiar fondness with which she greeted him.
He might never get over the conflicted feelings in his heart over her but he did love her - and the carefree teasing she used to speak to him actually made him feel better. If it was hopeless, if there was no way to fix what was hiding inside of him, surely his mother would be taking it a little more seriously. Lucius shifted on his back to get a better look - he hadn’t gotten a good look at his bonded’s mother the last time they had met - in all the chaos of the warg battle.
He knew how little Megaera cared for his mother and while he was used to the manner in which his mother spoke - knowing that (at least for him) it came from a place of love - he appreciated that no fights or harsh words were thrown about. Instead, she spoke on his behalf, explaining why they were there. He nodded along, his sad gaze shifting from Meg, to the Sun but always returning to rest on her.
His mother would know all about his transformations, of course. She had seen it first hand at the fight with the Rift and she would know about when it had happened since then. That was one of the funny things about being the child of a God - you couldn’t hide things from them. “I want to be able to control it. To not hurt… anyone else.”
