The Goddess listened to the surprised hushed tones of her son and smiled gently. "Yes darling." She offered almost compassionately, though her voice was still full of a mischievous amused laughter.

She’s… pregnant?

A warm breeze full of starlight and the scent of rain swam around Mesec, flowing around him like a robe. Comforting physical gestures had never been the Goddess' strong suit, but since he was a baby, this was how she had held him. Stars glistened around her boy - a stallion, but still her baby - and twinkled their reassurance.

"Why of course!" His mother laughed, radiantly and calmly. "Darling what on earth did you think the outcome was going to be?" Her silvery laughter subsided slightly, for she knew that her son was genuinely dismayed about this news.

"Though what you might not be reasonably expected to know, is how your coupling will affect the life that you've now created." The Goddess unfurled her wings slightly, and the misty blanket wrapped itself around Mesec tighter. "My blood runs through your veins, and now a small fraction of that is helping to shape what grows inside of the star-mare's belly. They will be healthy - yes, they -" She winked at him, watching the expression on his face change. "- and if you're lucky, they will be blessed by magic just as you were, when you were a babe."

The Goddess paused a moment, wanting her son time to take all of this information in. Part of her thought that he was playing possum with her, if only just a bit, and perhaps unknowingly. After all, surely he had some idea what the results of his actions would be?
