The thickness of the tree's was what really threw the black stallion off, never had he seen such a place with such enclosed space and plants so close together.
The large horned stallion looked about the area he seemed to of walked into, his head throbbing and piercing his mind as his body was screaming to rest and relax, but he kept forward. What he did to cause such pain to his form was evading his thoughts...he couldn't remember much. No recollection of where he came from, who he was or what happened to create such injury to himself.

The faint metallic smell of blood lingered on his head and back, along the sides of his belly and limbs. Cuts here and there, mainly on the head and upper neck of him really pained him to move his head back and forth, as he tried to survey this new surrounding. His nostrils flared to take in any scents; pine, acorns, dew on the grass ,the occasional small critter...and the scent of other equine. But these scents were a bit aged. Maybe other equine passed through here, at least that was a good enough sign for him.

The unicorn began to walk forward after the pause of scent he took, one two-toed hoof after the next, his ears signaling to all the sounds that could alert him to any other presences nearby. His main goal was to travel a bit more before finding some place to rest his worn bones and tattered body. A drink of water would suffice as well, as his throat felt very rough like sandpaper and dry.

Brisa & Hikari

Soft footfalls moved along at a steady pace through the maze of pathways of the threshold searching for things that were not yet found. Blue eyes scanned the scenery left and right for any signs of newcomers. It had been quite sometime since the white mare had breached the confines of the forested grove but her feet remembered their way through the maze. Overhead birds sung their springtime songs as they gathered to nest and socialize. The deep earthy scent of pine clung to her coat after a good night's rest back home. Slowing to a long strided walk the fae paused to wait for her kitsune companion to catch up. Hikari was still young so her legs still did not carry her as fast as she wished but it didn't mean that she wouldn't try.

After a couple minutes the multi tailed fox came loping up to her bonded clearly frustrated by her slowness. Laughing softly she reassured her bonded by extending her muzzle down to nuzzle Hikari's fluffy neck. There is no need to fret little one, it will come in time. She spoke with confidence but whether or not the kitsune understood her would slowly develop over time along with their bond. Sweeping her up onto her back to rest for the remainder of the journey the pair continued along the path.

Soon after the sounds of another drew her steps to a halt as the faintest scent of copper registered upon her senses. Her eyes quickly found the movement through the treeline as a tall lumbering stallion emerged. Uneasiness spread throughout her much smaller frame but her new found confidence helped her to hold her ground. He was injured, but to what extent? "Hello?" She called out hoping to draw his attention to her white figure. Stepping forward a number of steps she carefully paused just out of reach. "Are you ok? Please let me help you."

Instinctively she wished to help clean the wounds and provide something to help relieve the pain but she hesitated not knowing how her would react. Despite her confidence she past had taught her to be wary of stallions and for good reason. She would wait for his response before she dared venture any closer.
