He likes her, he decides.  It's not exactly instantaneous, but it is a conscious decision derived from their brief conversation.  She has been honest and kind.  Those are not traits to scoff at.  He stretches luxuriously in the sun, wondering if he dares the indignity of a roll while in a lady's company.  Already he appears to have forgotten the tenseness that followed her last question.

In the end, he stays standing.  She seems a lady, and Seanan feels it is somewhat beneath him to be so undignified before he.  Instead he trots a few strides back towards her as she talks, closing some of the distance between them.  Not all of it though.  He maintains just enough distance that one of them would have to take a step to close it.  It is automatic, natural.  Very few creatures have ever been allowed to crowd the white stallion voluntarily.

"I don't know that I know enough yet to ask a proper question."  Humor has snuck into his voice, his ears askew in that goofy sort of way he has.  He shakes his head and they flop limply as though the muscles don't properly work, but the next instant they perk up again, alert on her.  "What place do you think is most unique to Helovia?  What makes it special, hmm?  What is it's heart?"

The questions are light.  To him, they allow broad interpretation and yet are not, exactly, unusual.  Every land should have it's heart, and every heard should know where the heart of their herd land lies.  It is, generally, a point of pride.  For his herd ,it had been a somewhat dangerous journey.  Nearer the mountains there were channels cut into the rock, twisting tunnels dug by water.  Only in a dry season, with a guard posted to watch for threat of flood, could they be navigated with some amount of safety.  They might have seemed claustrophobic but to Seanan they were as much a part of his land as the wind and the many holes in the walls that let in sunlight staved off any feelings of being closed in.

In one particular area, many such tunnels converged into a rounded space, lower than the surrounding area.  The roof was mostly solid, but all around light streamed in from many windows.  There were four major tunnels leading into it, and it was here that they all knew the heart was.  There was no specific thing that made it such, only a deep, ancestral knowledge that this place was important.  It was part of what made them who they were.
