It had been a while since the ivy masked stallion had found himself here. The last time he had been here he had met a pretty light colored mare. She had been from the Edge, and smoke bellowed from her lunges with each breath. Her name had been Auriel and she had made the trip to the Blood falls amazing. He smiled softly as he flew slowly over the scarlet land. Everything about this place made him curious. Why was it all red? Even the water was scarlet, like blood. Instead of seeing the horror behind it he turned it to beauty. He liked to think of it like rubies instead of blood. There was no reason to see how horrible something so beautiful it could be instead.

Silver eyes glinted as they picked out the sight of several horses gathered by a scarlet pond. Silently he circled once or twice before slowly descending. With a loud thump he landed behind the group and folded his wings close to his body. A smile touched his face as he carefully moved through the bodies. His nose quivered as he picked up the scent of him home wafting from a large black and blue male. Stopping beside him he nodded to his herd brother before turning to see what everyone was looking at. Hunger and greed clawed at his belly as he caught sight of the musty looking egg resting upon some rocks. Sharp eyes caught sight of the massive fish guarding it. He watched the creature for a moment before looking at the egg again. He wanted that egg more than anything else in this moment. He lonely heart longed to have the second part of his soul.
