Valentine looked up. What he saw was a mare of the night. He looked over her for a while, for her had never seen her before. Her horn was different, and he hadn’t seen one like the before, and it seemed to have a rune on it. In her mane, there are...wait.
Are those teeth? he thought to himself.
And pegasi feathers? He looked at them closely, and they seem to be woven into her mane. He guessed that she was one of those racist unicorns. Unicorns believed that they were the superior race, and that equines and pegasi needed to disappear. There were some around the herd he knew, but he didn’t necessarily know what it was all about. When he heard her speak, he caught a hint of sweetness, but looking at her face, it seemed all wrong. There was a hint of something in her voice, another emotion. He guessed it was anger, and also guessed that she was upset because what had happened to the World’s Edge. It was easy to tell that everyone was angry and upset, so it was no different that she was the same. He sat up a little bit, and bowed his head a little, finally deciding to address her.
“Hello” he said, his voice light and happy. “Yes, it is very cold, but that is excepted in the Frostfall.” He moved to the side a little, so that there was enough room for both him and her. “Would you like to sit with me against the shelter of the cold? Also could you tell me where you got those lovely feathers of yours?”
(Finally got it done, and it’s a little better too :). I also find it funny that it he thinks about this all in a couple of seconds... )
