When she turned to look at him after he talked to her, she had a completely different look on her face. The look of knowledge. What, however, what the knowledge that she was keeping? Had she noticed what he thought in his mind? Suddenly, she gave him a look. She batted her eyes lashes, and smiled at him. He didn’t know what to do. He just kind of stared. He panicked, not knowing how to respond. He didn’t know what to do around mares, and since this was the first one he had ever met in his life, he was completely unprepared. When she stared directly into his eyes, he stared back at hers. Something seemed to be taken from him in that moment, and he felt he would never be able to get it back, but he didn’t want it back. She went closer to him when she talked to him. He felt her body touch his, and he shivered, the sudden warmed different than what he had last experienced. He somehow collected him, and quickly. He nodded his head at her, the feeling of empathy washing over his like the cold around him, but somehow it was colder than that.
“I understand. You can never get rid of the past, no matter how hard you try." The wind blew his mane into his eyes, and he shook his head, clearing it out. He looked into her eyes again, seeing the lost look of the past, with the feeling of anger, sadness, and pain on the tips. He knew what it was like, but it was probably different than hers, considered he didn’t have to kill. Not yet.
