His guess in the beginning has been correct. She was a supremacist. He was slightly surprised, but he knew they could take any form. He did agree with her. He looked around a second after she did. He knew he would like the Edge much more. It was a bit cooler, and it had more hiding places. He had never been up higher than the top of Edge, but he had seen this place in passing, but wouldn’t venture through the outer woods because he was afraid too. The Edge was his home, and he wasn’t going to separate himself from that, because that was all he had left of his parents. Now, being out here, he remembered. It happened like this: an ember could be seen, lying on the torn ground of an earthquake. Oxygen went into the flame, and it got bigger. It started to grow as it touched things around it, until it was a ball of flame. The smoke rose, creating images of death and destruction. Suddenly, the ball joined with another ball, one that was connected with other balls of fire and formed a much bigger one than the first. It turned into a mass, roaring fire. All of the fire decided to spread, and in that a couple of moments fire was everywhere, turning everything to ash. He was that first ball of fire, and he would join Psyche and the others in killing those that had destroyed his home. He turned to her when he saw his eyes on him and listened. He saw the glimmer in her eyes when she said
“yourself by my side”. Was it just his imagination, or was it his that he saw a flash of longing? He couldn’t quite tell if she meant the words she spoke or not, so he took it with a grain of salt. He stared back at her. His words came out, forceful and powerful.
“We need to take it back. It is our home, not theirs. I will not let those scoundrels get away with taking away what is ours; what was mine, for that matter. They will pay with every last drop of blood in their systems, not just for their ignorance, but for their lowly bodies even touching that sacred place.” He could feel the fire burning, and it felt wonderful. He let it burn, turning it into one that would always remembered.
“I will join your side, not only for you, for me, or all the others in the Edge, but for my parents, who would not wanted to see such scum in that beautiful land.” Enraged, he stood up and shouted in the direction of the Edge
“This is not over Qian, I shall see you suffer, every last one!”
