The lady had a point, as Tyrath listened to her speak. He imagined some who won, or were chosen, the words would easily be alternated by whom exactly got to trot away with the egg firmly nestled in their grasp, only ever intended to use their new found companions as weapons and a means to an end. Some who had been passed over, would of cared for them as something much more than an extra pair of teeth and claws on the battlefield. Just because you received something, didn't necessarily mean you were worthy to have what you now owned. "Maybe. There has to be some kind of balance to everything, right? Something that is unfair to one horse, might not be unfair to the other. The guardian's in charge of the Egg, have to choose from what they have, not what they could've had." He offered with a small shrug.

Earth rumbled and rolled in front of the Bronze Dragon and the colt's right forelimb raised, confusion washed over his skull marked face. The confusion didn't last long, as his eyes flicked from the moving earth to the winged and horned mare, she seemed to be focused on it and it clicked. She had magic! Magic that moved the earth to her whims. Tyrath watched, silently and intently, watching how it contorted and changed as though he might see the very tendrils of magic knitting every piece of soil together. Did she have other magic too? He vaguely remembered hearing of it being possible, that not everyone stuck to a particular element or simply had one magic. Earth finished melding together, and revealed a flute looking object.

Any questions or comments which bubbled upon his lips were silenced, he could ask them later, the moment of truth was finally there. It had to work, surely, there seemed to be no immediate way to break or blow on the instrument wrong. He gave a small nod to the Bronze as he glanced towards him, his small frame leaning slightly as though it would give him a better seat to watch.

"It works!" Excitement evident, a new grin broke out on his features as he watched Hubris play a few more sounds from the flute. The trill was returned by quad horned head dipping toward him, there was no need to thank him, really. If Hubris was happy, then he was quite content with that.

"Obligating?" She had been right, the answer had him rolling idea's around in his head as to why she felt she was obligated. He drew blanks, so it was up to the Giantess to fill the blanks in. Her answer wasn't what he had expected, if he was honest, that there had been battles and lands pulled in from another world. It sounded right out of a fairy-tale, or one of the stories that the other mares told their foals to get them to go to sleep. It had happened though, he was standing on the proof of it! Cloven hooves shifted over the grass beneath his feet and his own head turned so he could look around the area. He had been interested in exploring before, but now. Who knew what things lurked here? It had come from another world. One particular part of her story stuck out to him, that it had been her pa who had brought the island into being. "Wait, your Pa pulled this island here?" Invisible brow quirked upward. "I can't imagine just anyone pulling these lands in," he began, the gears of his mind spinning a mile a minute, he was sure she could see them, "that would make your pa a god then? I don't think any horse could just...pull things in."

The idea was exciting, Gods were a favorite story to tell anyone, both old and young. Who didn't like hearing of the noble Earth or the radiant Sun? Grumpy father Time and the mysterious Moon? But, if he was right, and her pa was a God, then wouldn't that make her some kind of Goddess? Questions piled up but he bit them back, it was no use pouring them all on her, when he hadn't gotten his first reply back.

from the ashes of the sun I arise
a herald of ruin and damnation
