”Hi” [Now] The dark deer pleaded as the attention of the filly finally turned to him. But the gold was not so kind. His tasseled tail flicked under his black cloak, just the tip wiggling like a cat. No, not yet. A smile comes back to the girl’s lips and the deer’s large ears fall back. He had expected to feel like leaping over to her, and tag her in play, but knowing now what dark thoughts were behind that grin, he only hung back, his stomach turning in knots. As her dark words rolled out like a purr the deer shivered. His heart was racing, and the dark mist at his feet instinctively swirled with self-protection, though not strong enough to do any good.

The colt turns on him, and his wide eyes scare the small stag. He takes a subconscious step back, but find a solid leg of the invisible gold. The whole body of the companion froze. The term got your back now sounding rather regretful to the deer. The gold only looked on the scene. A plan wrapping around his brain and bringing the slightest smirk to his lips. If the foals were setting this magic on every creature they could find, perhaps he better warn them of a few things. Mainly, that in this world, not everything was as it appeared. His grin grew, he liked teaching lessons.

Haldir’s small head turns between the two, as they speak as if he cannot hear or understand. He would not step back again, and he would try his best to show some boldness, but in the end, the limp kit in the corner of the scene still made his hairs stand on end. Moon eyes turn to the movement of the advancing filly. One ear comes slowly forward again, watching in some betraying curiosity at the flames on her back leap with deer. And even though he had seen the trap before, he is caught by it.

The gold still standing just to the side and behind the stag was as well captured by this most curious trick of the filly. Yet, he also watched the colt. Crowned head lowers, readying, and the stag questions again. ”Hi?” Though still there is no answer. Haldir, it being his health on the line, was more impatient than the gold. He was finding he didn’t like being bait. The ashen mist swirls, seemingly half controlled from its current captives, letting them drop. Haldir’s eyes finally look from the dancing flames to the dark cloud above and his body braces, his please growing urgent. “Hi!” The dark ashen cloud rushes forward.

Now! He moves at once. A dark purple stone awakens in the circlet of the golden, and the dark magic of his own lashes out. Teeth grit tight and sweat pricks his brow to command these multiple avenues of magic, but his grin only grows wider with the feeling of power and deviousness coursing quickly through him. Its fingers reaching forward to try and cover the eyes of the foals. The smoke of their sinister touch reaching to invade their sight. The stone meanwhile, becomes a vacuum and inhales the dark ashes and their poison, swirling with their darkness and locking in black.

As a the stone became dead again, and the concentration needed eased, he reached back to pull from his back the black cloak, its silence kept by his own magic as he tucked it in his satchel. The dark fingers of smoke, if it had covered the eyes of the foals was shortened by his attempt to stretch it between them, and it recedes quickly. But it was not completely gone before the dark smooth, most satisfied voice spoke, “Neat trick, but...” A dark low chuckle lifts the last of the magic. “...not everything in this world is as defenseless as rabbits.” They were left with the proud standing gold, head high and smirk wide, and the half fainted Haldir, standing just behind him, a mix of hesitation and satisfaction mingling in his wide moon eyes. His heart still racing. “Surely Rexanna or Tembovu taught their children that…” It draws out like a tease begging them into argument or defense, yet lite with humor and tease.

"Talk."
OOC:: Thranduil captures Zo's magic in a moon amulet and uses his smoke blinding magic to try and shield their eyes. While/If shielded he takes off his cloak. Haldir proceeds to have a heart attack behind him. XD
