curiosity killed the cat . satisfaction brought it back
Meetings were so boring. Adaeze had had her fair share of meetings in Dorobo ... at least until the council had decided that she'd needed to be put to death. That had been the end of her meeting attendance, but it wasn't something that she'd missed at all. Droning on and on and on with announcements, promotions, warnings, and the like was boring. She had even thought about not attending at all, why should she if she had no rank? But the idea that her best frenemy would be there, as he always was when Temby was involved, spurred the cat into motion.
Even with the thought of finding Kiuaji at the meeting, Ada took her time. She hoped that if she took long enough when she arrived the meeting would be ending, she'd have missed all the boring bits, and still would have shown her face. Unfortunately for her, when she arrived Tembovu was in the middle of promoting someone to queen (what happened to the old one?), and someone else to Moon Doctor, and blah blah blah.
Ada tuned Tembovu's voice out and began to search the herd for a certain stallion. When she spotted him she smiled to herself. Kiu was never really hard to spot in a crowd. He was to pretty not to be noticed and she'd told him that several times before. She moved in his direction, slipping around horses that were in her way and pushing past others who didn't leave enough room to pass.
The cheetah slipped up to Kiuaji's side, her shoulder rubbing against him in her typical cat-like manner. "Hey, baby." She purred."Whaddya say we ditch this meeting for some real fun?" She asked, winking playfully at her friend. It had truly been too long sime the two of them had had time to sit and gossip.
