Her so-called disability had contributed to the fact that Aleta was becoming a calm, collected, intelligent filly; though she couldn't stand to be touched by anyone or anything, she was grateful that she was not as air headed as some of the other foals she knew. And so as they played tag or hide and seek or whatever other game they came up with, Aleta had followed Kaj around, learning tact, diplomacy, and manners from the father who she idolized. She had made sure to learn all she could of Helovia and its history, who lived here, what they did, and why. Of course, her learning was a bit restricted from within the Hidden Falls, one of the newest herdlands. She longed to travel to those that had been inhabited since the beginning - the World's Edge, perhaps. Just not the Dragon's Throat - not yet, when the wounds left by Sohalia were still so fresh.
On this particular day, Aleta had wandered from the Hidden Falls to the nearby Heavenly Fields, one of her favorite places to spend an afternoon. Though it was a particularly warm Tallsun, the Fields were not unbearably hot, and the little lightning girl had climbed to the top of the plateau with ease. Once there, she grazed a bit here and there, pranced about to and fro, and practiced flying. By the time the sun had reached its zenith and had started its downward trajectory, Aleta had all but tired herself out. With a sigh, she settled beneath a tree that was positioned near the cliff path that led back home, deciding that she would rest before exerting herself further. She wouldn't stay much longer, or her father would start to worry; but she would be fine if she just took a short pause to catch her breath, right?
"Talk."
