You think I'll be the dark sky
Of course, did you want our mother to be with you? A useless, old nag?

Suddenly insults were tossed back and forth between the colt and the stallion. Kiada snorted in her disgust at how far south this meeting had gone. This wasn’t at all what she wanted. She wanted to find out what it was, watch the bond that appeared, ask the man a few questions before meandering on her very way. But no, Kianzo insisted on insults and brash conclusions. Kiada was more tactful with her questioning, but she was growing tired of her brother’s constant anger. Even still, she did her best to ignore the comments made by the man until he began to speak to the snake alongside his horn. Kiada furrowed her brows at him briefly before shooting a glance back at Khairi who nestled gently against her skin, fast asleep.

So which one of you is the better hunter?

Another snort escaped the tiny filly as she looked to Kianzo. “Him.” She stated, perhaps a bit begrudgingly. Kianzo had magic that was useful. He was the better hunter, with magic that could kill and a companion that could as well. She silently wondered if her companion would ever be useful as well – being a tiny ball of fluff that couldn’t even fly yet. What good was it? The comment Kianzo so easily flipped to the old man was suddenly a self-conscious insult that she began to feel as she felt the bond with Khairi. Angrily, she stepped slightly away from the colt, the flames flickering from snakes to wolves with sharp gnashing jaws. One day she would have magic that would topple kingdoms. One day she would be as good a hunter as Kianzo – whether it be with brute force or grace. She would destroy those that opposed her, she would destroy anyone that got in her path.

But today was not that day.

"Talk."
so you can be the star? —
I'll swallow you whole.

@Albrecht @Kianzo

IT'S SAID SHE'S MADE OF STORM CELLS
AND A WILD WOLF'S HUNGRY HEART,
THAT SHE'S LEARNT THE LIGHTNING'S SECRET
TO RIPPING DARKENED SKIES APART.
