Were Sohalia to look out across the Oasis, to nearly the other side in between breaks of thunder and lightning, this is what she would have seen.

Lightning illuminates a creature, though he is no more than a mere silouette. Even the fire that lines his wings is dulled by the full force of the lighting that streaks in impossibly bright sheets across the land. These sorts of storms are not usual for TallSun, and one might mistakenly think that the creature standing by the Oasis has merely been caught out in the rain, taken unaware and surprised by the sudden storm.

But if you knew who it was standing there, you'd know that little could surprise him. Save for the one surprise which has led to him standing there in the first place.

Rain cascades in dark streams all along the Wildfire's body, but he doesn't seem to notice. His steel-gray eyes are fixed on the Oasis, as if trying to see through it to the very bottom. It is strange to see so much fire burning amidst the wrath of the storm, but Gaucho takes no notice. Smartly, Mara and Vorsa have sought refuge in the trees, leaving Gaucho to his silent self flaggelation alone.

If there were tears that fell from his eyes, it was impossible to discern them from the raindrops constantly berrating his dark hide - made nearly black by all the water. Gaucho merely stands, an unmistakable silouette against the darkness, head lowered slightly, staring at the black waters.
