Ru'in didn't want to turn his head or even allow one of his ears to rotate towards the oncoming sound. Despite the fact that his ears were stone, he could still hear. That in itself was rather interesting. The boy knew that it was magic that made his body harden the way that it did, but apparently he wasn't in fact stone at all, merely a stone facade.
