| Heading down from the mountains where the cooler air tended to linger the grey and his companion headed in the direction of the Deep Forest. Their latest patrols had at last been assigned giving them a purpose to travel once more outside the borders of the Falls. The warrior was hesitant to leave the rest of the herd alone with the wildfires that had been breaking out but his duties required him elsewhere, he could only hope that there was nothing more serious until he returned to help out. Wildfire were not a thing to be messed with for they could turn deadly in the blink of an eye thankfully things had been pretty decent with no serious injuries amongst the herd. Looking around the forest there was clear signs that this place had been affected by the dryness of Tallsun. Everywhere he looked there were trees down or trees dying slowly from the drought. Evidence of smoke was in the air from somewhere nearby pushing his senses onto high alert, last thing they needed was to get trapped in a burning forest. Snorting to clear the smell from his nostrils the grey paused to look down to Kiara who was equally on edge with the possibility of a fire burning nearby. The pair of them had dealt with their fair share of fires but never one of a great size that had been unmanageable. He wished that their gods would see them all down here battling the drought and just give them a bit of rain to help decrease the risk, but of course rain was not something you would see when it was this hot and humid. Venturing slowly along the outskirts of the forest the pair awaited their partner, Soren to join them before they headed deeper into the forest. Nothing strange had been going on since those last god attacks but deep in his gut he could feel that something was bound to happen sooner or later. Would it be another rogue god perhaps or the potential for it to be something worse? Ciceron talks Kiara speaks |
