My black wings gleam purple in the light, and my eyes, my obsidian, onyx, onyx eyes are glowing glowing glowing, sparkling. A demon and a demon. Stop. Think clearly. I shake my head briskly, picking up a trot, weaving my confident way through the clumped trees. I see a stallion, followed by dregs of black, crows and ravens with glittering eyes and blunt beaks.

Today, unfathomably, I am shaken and tied tightly, unable to focus on anything other than the smallest of details.
