Belllisma was thankful the stallion had the mind to invite her to follow him, for she, in her insecurity and unwillingness to accept her desirability in anyone's eyes, likely would have stayed behind had he not. The trek was long, but she did not mind it; for far too long she had ventured nowhere, allowing her natural abilities to endure wane. In the clearings, she wanted to take chase of nothing in particular, to throw her head and kick out her heels, but she feared Hé would either have trouble or generally dislike her for pulling away. So she remained, short stride comparatively long, by his side. A few times she even fell back, eyes taking in the vast surroundings she had not previously allowed herself to explore.

She listened intently while Hé spoke, though the information was admittedly complex. Gods? There were not gods where she came from - or, at least, if there were, they did not give a damn about her. The mare snorted involuntarily, shaking her head in an attempt to play it off as a pesky fly. Her skeletons did not need to be brought to light... Not now, not ever.

Stag? Oh goodness... Everything was so foreign to her; her new 'herd' would most certainly find her a bore, if not a nuisance for her naïvety. "Do-... Do you think they will like me?" she asked sheepishly, peering at Hé from the corner of her eye. She wasn't sure why she allowed the question past her lips, considering she was loathe to discover the answer. Perhaps he would surprise her, though; he certainly had when their gazes met and he had not struck her. Speaking of which... "Will... May I look at them, too?" She spoke quietly, eyes flicking away before easing back to him. "I do not want to be out of line.." Worry permeated her words, the carriage of her body radiating anxiety.

If he worried about speaking too much, then she was downright terrified of the multitude of questions now spilling from her. "Is there a role I will fill here?" Her voice shook, which frustrated her, but her last... role had been to entertain at the expense of her dignity. Her dark thoughts were interrupted by the sound of approaching hoof-falls, and Bellisma subconsciously inched closer to Hé. Her inherent trust of him was unforeseen and likely foolish; for all she knew, he would just as likely throw her to the figurative wolves as help her, though the latter would only be if it in some way benefited him. These thoughts held no place in her conscious mind now, however, as her turned head nearly brought her muzzle in contact with the point of his shoulder. "Hello," she offered quietly to the newcomer, gaze falling to his or her hooves.

Yay new family!
