The lion man shed a single tear as he writhed in the dirt; a decision had been made. The wanderer would cling to whatever life was left in him. Those golden curls lay matted against his mane, a lather of sweat in his pits as thoughts and regrets continued to swell and swirl. The heat of the desert and dehydration had wreaked havoc in his frail stature - it had severely damaged everything from brain to hoof.

Toulouse of Myrrh was now nothing but a body of a man. Broken and cracked, shaken and tormented first by his family, then his friends, then the elements, and now even the gods had had their way. It was then in those torturous moments of contemplation that the vagrant decided he was no longer Toulouse of Myrhh. Toulouse was his name, and that was as much as he had. No such title, no property, no homeland and certainly no family.

Toulouse had been no where and he had been everywhere, He had met no one and everyone. He was a king, he was a pauper, a thief, a sailor.

"are you.... unwell?"

Sleep had taken the gelding for a few hours now, but these three quizzing words stirred him from his unconscious state. The voice was that of a female, and he would of expected quite a silly question from nothing other. As sexist as his opinion was, he thought it to be quite true. The truth is however, he was often most severe on his own sex then any other - oh how he despised pompous stallions. The lion mans curves ears twitched at the sound of new hoofbeats, his body's alertness improving by the second. This one asked an even sillier question.
"Is he alright?"

Toulouse daren't open his eyes just yet; he was still wondering how they thought he could possibly be alive. Then again, if they did just assume he was dead on they would continue with their stroll and he would be left for dead once again. How many more hours would be last without water? The number was bound to be in single digits now. Aware as he was mentally, it was a whole other story physically - He tried to lift his hoof and it felt as heavy as if it was stuck in quicksand. Time really was ticking though, and he needed the help of these strangers. He would speak to them, that was quite a flawless method of communication was it not? It would be if he could actually speak. It took several attempts of opening his mouth and croaking before he finally managed two cryptic words.
"...time... flies"

After those two prickly words left his mouth he listened for a response, thought first only heard footsteps of yet another femme. This one finally spoke some sense, brought a fascinating power with her. The wind lifted; was it with her command? Toulouse peeled his eyes open to find a dark matter crawling over his body. As terrifying as it was to look at, this black smoke began to scratch at his weakness and most of all his thirst. Soon enough he even had enough strength to lift his head form the damp earth and study the smoke, then the three fae's come to his rescue.
The wielder of the magic was an impressive pegasus with an impressive blue accented white mane accompanied by a black coat. The others he would have no idea who had arrived first; a bay with a striking facial marking  and a striped palomino unicorn. What a trio.
When the smoke finally dissipated Toulouse took a moment to find the strength to stand, then springing up with all the energy he could muster. Swaying and nearly crashing all over again, the golden man planted all four feet firmly on the ground. Finally with a look to the equine and the unicorn he spoke.
"I hope neither of you are considering a career in healing"
