The ground vibrated with each step, pounding like the thunder that rolled overhead as the beast continued her fast pace, ears flat against her head, eyes narrowed against the torrents of rain and hair dancing madly in the wind. At this point Narcissa was past caring how wet and muddy she was, the mare was only going to get more wet and more muddy as she sustained her gallop. So loud was the wind, the thunder, and so blinding was the rain and lightning that Narcissa was just as unaware of the blue creature and her companion as they were of her. That was until they nearly crashed into each other. The draft came to skidding halt, the mud cast up from her hooves missing the cyan femme and her unusual friend and instead sprays one side of Narcissa’s roan coat. ”Shit!” She mutters under her breath. Deep scourges mar the earth from her sudden halt and she turns brazenly to the other.

“Watch it!” She growls, both out of the shock from their near miss and the moody emotions boiling beneath the stone surface of her exterior. However the blazing blue gaze softens slightly (only slightly) and though she does not reciprocate the unicorn’s smile she can’t help but realise that their near collision was perhaps just as much her own fault as the other’s – not that she would actually mention this. The blue femme’s profuse apology perhaps placated Narcissa enough to stop her from snapping once again at the stranger.

Dipping her head slightly she acknowledges Tiamat’s greeting, though not lowering her head enough for it to appear submissive in anyway. So the dark blue and white creature had a name too,…interesting; Narcissa had never encountered such a creature however the look on her face remained entirely distant, hiding her intrigue.

“Narcissa RaGhul, former Captain of the Aye’Kiazer herd.” Narcissa wasn’t exactly an arrogant creature but she dropped her old title in as she gruffly introduces herself. Whilst the line of RaGhul was particularly famous within its neighbouring lands the roan mare supposed she had travelled far enough that her blood would not be recognised.

Narcissa narrowed her eyes at the question; she wasn’t a particularly open mare and certainly didn’t like answering questions for random strangers however her slightly immature response pretty much confirmed Tiamat’s query either way.

“So what if I am?”

However before anymore could be said another mare joined the little, rain-soaked huddle.

Great, more company Narcissa mused sarcastically in her mind, glancing swiftly at the tan coloured newcomer.

The large draft snorted at the adorned mare’s question.

“What are you doing out in the storm?!” She countered with challenging note in her voice, what Narcissa did was entirely up to her.

It became apparent from this new mare’s gestures and words that she had no idea which of the two others were new to Helovia. The muscular mare also decided that it seemed these Helovians liked to tell their life stories everytime they met someone new. However as the sarcasm danced in her mind seriousness took over. This Paradox talked of a group of equines, and taking herself and Tiamat to meet this group. Her audits pricked up with alertness. This could very easily be a trap.

“What if I like standing out in the storm?” Her snarky comment covered up the fact that the cogs were whirring in her tactical brain as she weighed up the options. On the one hand both of these mares could be working together to lure any unsuspecting traveller to their outcast group or herd or whatever, however that seemed unlikely for Paradox did not seem to recognise which equine was the newbie. She took a step closer to Paradox, positioning herself slightly in front of Tiamat in what could have been seen as a protective gesture. Whilst Narcissa did not necessarily trust either mare, she was more inclined to believe Tiamat had true intentions than Paradox.

Please excuse Narcissa, she sees everyone as a potential enemy until they prove otherwise xD
