The Basin pair were not left alone for long; no sooner had the melodies burst from her throat, warbling birdsong endeavors, had a pale mare descended from the skyline. She reminded the nymph instantly of angels, seraphic wings glistening in the glamor and opulence of the beckoning Orangemoon sun – peaceful, serene, and tranquil. Lena dipped her head in respect, uncertain at the mare’s name, rank, or nobility, but bestowing cordiality regardless of her ignorance, wondering if she’d seen the femme before, pondering over the lengths of history and notes tied between sand, soil, and ice. There wasn’t a sense of animosity brewing between her words, a sense of unease, a relishing of apprehension, so the Mender extended her gracious smile, her wondrous, compassionate essence amidst the rapture and reverie of their quest, glancing at Rexanna briefly (perhaps with a wink, a relative mastery of ebullience spiraling from her form), before turning back to the greeter. “Hello,” she said back, courting the same beneficent tones, the same mellifluous pieces. “I’m Lena, and this is Rexanna,” her noble crown gestured to the gilded Thief, “We’ve come from the Aurora Basin to inform you of a festival being held soon, in honor our northern lights. Everyone from the Dragon’s Throat is welcome to attend.” She paused, weaving her lips back together, ensuring there was a means, a moment, a measure, where the golden fae would be able to share a portion of the news as well – the excitement buzzed and pulsed through her veins, maintaining the magnificence of her grin, hopeful, buoyant, that they’d be able to convey and communicate the right words, the right phrases, and bestow the hospitality of the shimmering lights and dazzling hues. The Basin was so much more than the old stories and legends, than destruction and mayhem, than rancor and bitterness – it had changed, altered, just as everyone else, and the world should’ve seen its beauty for what it truly was.
