The gasp for air was satisfying, but not nearly as satisfying as the sound of the great tree beast crashing to the ground. "Timber." Ktulu said mirthlessly as she watched him fall, listened to the cracking of branches as they broke off. The tears that leaked from his eyes did nothing to soften her heart or lessen the extent of her magic. She was unforgiving and he was the fool that had attacked first. He was getting what he deserved as far as she was concerned. It would be easy to kill him now. She walked closer then stopped, her hooves just inches away from the stallion's head. One quick move and his brains could be smeared across the snow. One move..

Then he laughed. The look on his face turned to one of joy and the mare made a disgusted noise in the back of her throat. He was more strange than she had originally thought he was. Who enjoyed being strangled? Just as suddenly as the asphyxiation started it ended. If he enjoyed it then she would not give him the joy of experiencing her magic.

He was not worth it she suddenly decided as she moved around his withered form and toward her young son. More importantly she would not kill in such a violent way in front of her child. If they met again, alone, she would show no mercy.
