Soon, she grew tired of peering at the egg, hoping it would hatch. Others had appeared anyways, more foals older than her too. A couple of adults appear too, and one asks where the parents of all these foals were. "She talks." "Don't have parents." She said simply, shrugging it off. And then the tree was speaking. Speaking of all things! It intrigued the young filly, and she tilted her head to listen to the tree's words. "She talks." "I will gladly help!" She said, ruffling her feathers on her wings in happiness. Her bright eyes looked at the egg for a moment before she darted off to help gather nuts and berries. Hooves carried the filly at a walk as her little head lowered to look for berries. This was where her wings could come in handy! Spreading them slightly, she curled them in, creating almost a bowl shape to carry stuff in. Walking about, she would gently reach out and pluck off berries and nuts that she could reach. She seemed to be smaller than the others, and thus she was able to sneak under other branches and stuff that others might not be able to get to. Her small head was able slip easily between branches that were closer together. This gathering thing was fun! After she grabbed a good amount, or she thought, of nuts and berries she carefully maneuvered her way back over towards the tree and the smooth stump platforms. "She talks." "Here you go. Food for the little friends of the woods. Food for the birds, for the squirrels and all other creatures who need food in this section of the woods." The blue roan filly gave the kindly tree a gentle smile as she carefully put her collected nuts, berries and seeds on one of the stumps and stood there for a few moments before she would back off, unless the tree wished to speak to her.
