[ @Alysanne ]

Eager to shake off the effects of her encounter with Albrecht, Aisling turned to see who would be the next to approach. She smiled again, at once set at ease to see the painted pegasus come forward. There was a owl perched between her ears, which the little enchantress found perfectly charming. Now that the horrid beast was elsewhere Aisling could feel herself slipping back into the role of soothsayer and with a knowing nod of greeting when the mare introduced herself. Aisling had been asking around who from other herds might come, and her friends had mentioned the queen to her.

“Good evening, Queen Alysanne, We are pleased that you could join us for the festival.” She returned the warm smile that the paint gave her and for several long seconds simply observed. There was such a lovely air of goodness about the mare, kind and open and even wore a little heart upon her brow. If she could have actually seen the future, Aisling would have wished to see something wonderful in store for Alysanne, would have taken such joy in imparting good news to a good person. Closing her eyes and cocking her head as though listening to the spirits she had called, Aisling mused on what fortune she herself could hear that would have made her happy. She thought of Johnny, of their daughter, and inspiration struck.

”If the world doth stand too still,
by your want or by your will,
there are things that will be done,
parts to a song yet too be sung.
Laughter bright and happy birds
soothing sighs and gentle words.
One new face you’ve yet to meet
and the sounds of little feet.”

Her chant rose again, and like the others, the hanging smoke seemed to illustrate a scene to go along with the song she sang. A pegasus mare rose from the wisps, gamboling through an idyllic forrest scene. The shape of a stallion appeared, faceless and indistinct, but the two circled one another slowly before he fade into the smoke-trees. The shape of the pegasus mare continued of her forrest path, before stopping, the illusion placed right in front of Alysanne. With Aisling’s last words, another little face peeked out around the side of the mare, seeming to look directly at the Queen before the scene proofed out of existence. Aisling only smiled and ent a coquetish wink at the painted mare.
