Aisling wondered what it was like to hatch from an egg. Surely it was a little much to ask of such a new creature. Though she didn’t remember her own birth, she’d now been on the other end it. When Larue had come into the world it had been Aisling who did the work on that morning, and even now she had such a similar motherly instinct coursing through her but could do nothing to lessen the burden of breaking free. It was to be an anxious wait.

She didn’t scream when the bearded stallion came bursting in from the storm, she was momentarily too surprised even for breath. Her body jerked but luckily she still had the wherewithal to keep herself from jumping to her feet (which probably would have crushed her new little treasure). She had been so focused on watching her egg, the cave creating such a seemingly isolated bubble, and who should come bursting it to disrupt that but the terribly rude stallion who had come to her event at the festival. Refusing to leave her egg  unprotected on the floor she scowled at the intruder-ears pinned and eyes fierce-assuming that he had come with the express purpose of doing harm.

But Albrecht seemed just at surprised to see her here, starting to ask for Johnny before catching sight of Aisling’s egg. That at least let her relax a bit, however bad of an impression he had made, the beast hadn’t quite reached arc-enemy status in Aisling’s book; that place was saved for that white-armed hellion. “No. No he’s—In ainm Dé!!” Her explanation was cut of with a curse when Albrecht shook the evidence of his outdoor romp and water went flying. She hunkered down over the egg, shielding it from the worst of it.

“Oh aye, as long as you’ve go’ the piss to go with your poor attitude!” the fae snapped, shaking her own head to get the water out of her eyes. She didn’t mind the water over much, it’d dry soon enough, but she wasn’t in the mood to be hounded by this smartass. “He’s here but you won’t wake him. He’s—he’s still ill.” As much as the little mare might had disliked the idea of exposing emotion to her (opponent?) but she couldn’t help the tremulous shake in her voice when she said that, nor help but to glance over her shoulder toward the deeper parts of the cave where her Candyman still hibernated. Despite her sunny disposition, she was starting to worry he might never wake.

Her head snapped back around at a little cracking sound and a sharp 'Kree!' emanating from the egg. Almost forgetting about her guest, Aisling stared at the small hole that had appeared in the egg, out of which poked a creamy little snout topped with crimson.
