Each bicker was like a trumpet right against his eardrums - He could hardly tolerate her much longer, and so he just begun to ignore her or merely respond with smirks. There really wasn't much else he could do because it was apparent soon enough that there was noe escape form her. When he waded across the blue lagoon the winged woman didn't take defeat, victory, nor a draw, and just continued to badger him. Where do you think you're going she had cooed in such a condescending tone it caused Tilneys back hair to stand on end. Gritting his own top and bottom teeth togeather the antlered man once again shook his cranium and burned his rump to face the woman. He refused to lend her more of his attention, especially when it seemed his hormones pleaded to be introduced to hers. Perhaps there was naught else for Tilney to do other then wait for this godforsaken wretch to leave. She had refused to tell him why she was here, perhaps she had no reason at all. "Why are you really here?" The chestnut grumbled, still hardly turning his cranium to face her. "And I don't mean pestering me, I mean here at this pool". Wherever they stood, this pool, was magical. It had such an incredible aura to it, as though a piece of the oceans heart belonged right here in this volcanic rock. Tilney had hardly seen a more picturesque place, and it was a shame he couldn't enjoy it in peace. Once again he could feel her near and he could feel his body's messages. Did he really ache for her that much? His knees became weak, his spine tingled. How could such a vile woman have this effect on him? |
