The Fury of Fire

It would have hardly been half as fun if she had left after he had taken himself off, where else on the island could she go to find peace? She could remember with such clarity the battle which had taken place, the gouges left in the earth by divine claws, the faded remnants of scorch marks and other scars burned into the rocks which littered the lush landscape. More importantly, where could she go on this ghostly island and find some semblance of company she wanted to stick around for?

Besides, she wasn't one to take a defeat, or a draw. She'd go until she'd won.

Her fresh advancement is met by the tree painted stag simply turning his ass on her, now who was the childish one, she thought with a snort. While the natural response was for her to simply lean over and give his tail a tug, she refrained as her mind rolled her thoughts back and forth for something a bit more suitable to play with. If he had counted on her to eventually grow bored, and wait until his ginger backside had burned itself into her memory to the point of being a constant corner stone of her dreams, he was sorely mistaken. Besides, who didn't like the occasional rump to appear to make a regular dream just that little bit more interesting.

The stallion's question hung in the air, answered by silence from Nephele as she mulled it over. Could she tell him? Why should she tell him, he'd been a pig to her, just as much as she'd been a hellion to him. She couldn't deny she had fun though, pressing and kneading his buttons and perhaps that little blossom, however small, was a welcome distraction from all the terrible swirling emotions which hung over her like a dark cloud. Instead of giving him an answer first, she gave a purposeful swing of her all too curvous hips to send her own rump knocking into his in a small attempt to unseat him, and give him a fresh dose of taunting. Her face came to glance out at the water once more, black and orange tail swished back at him before it settled like a blackened waterfall against her hocks and the sand.

"I came here to be alone." She answered, her head held high as bi-coloured eyes remained transfixed on the water, soft ears tipped back toward the lighter stallion. "Maybe to find company. Or entertainment, which you provide so well, despite your less than gentlemanly attitude." She barbed after another pause, smirk once again on her lips, her painted neck arched to look at him over her feathered shoulder. "And what about his royal traveler? Why are you really here? Other than to be a pain."

Love, my territory of kisses and volcanoes.
