But she persevered.
When she neared the area she was to be - if the number of specks on the horizon was any indication - the mare slung her new cloak over herself. It provided cover from the wandering eye, but she knew all magic came with a limitation, if not a price. She did not know how long she would be shielded, nor how completely; because of this, she slowed her pace and remained back quite a ways, cornering herself against the small embankment that led onto the beach to prevent anyone from accidentally bumping into her from behind. The distance prevented her from hearing much of the idle chitchat unless she really strained to listen in, but she hoped she would be able to hear the creature positioned at the center. She'd never seen him before, but the way she was inexorably drawn to him told her it was he who called this meeting.
Scanning the growing crowd, Bellisma hoped to see a friendly face. Perhaps Vadim was here, or Ashamin, or Hé. She also looked for Paradox, though she wasn't so certain on her visage being sorted into the "those I wish to see" category. She found none, but there was a familiar figure among the many. Ears pinning (in a display that none could see, but it was involuntary), the little mare stared at Volterra. Much like Kianzo, he was an equid she had the desire to speak with. Or rather, have words with. Her lip curled just thinking of being in his presence for any length of time, but she would muster the courage if it meant alleviating some of his brutality from the beauty of Helovia. She hadn't seen it herself, so perhaps she was too quick to pass judgment, but the grapevine had yet to steer her wrong.
Forcing her gaze away, she allowed it to settle once more on the attendee of honor, awaiting further instruction.
