Something interesting is happening in Helovia. This much is obvious, even to the young colt. The air smells of change, and it makes the feathers of his wings bristle in anticipation. Sand flicks up against his legs as he trots along the beach, bull-horned head held high. The months have thickened the calf's body and strengthened his limbs and neck, lending him a slightly less gawky air. His horns have grown, and now span a quite impressive rack on top of his sculpted skull. He is still gangly, inelegant and spindle-legged, however, and his stride across the sand is far from elegant. Arakh has grown better at holding his wings close to his body so they don't slow him down when he's running, but it still takes quite a lot of his concentration for him to pin them to his sides and prevent them fluttering away unbidden. That lessens the concentration he has to spend on his stride, leading to clumsiness and a potential to go flying over random rocks. He soon arrives at a large crowd, and quickly scans it for familiar faces. He can see a couple of his siblings, but not the only one who matters - Esinakh. In her absence, as well as his mother's, he finds himself hunting around for somebody else to speak to, somebody else to discuss the odd appearance of Kisamoa with. The lad's chosen one is the unicorn filly who spoke to him during the companion drop. She seemed nice enough, and she is a familiar face in a sea of strangeness. "You there with egg," says the boy as he approaches her. "Who you?" It is his slightly brusque way of asking for her name, and he draws to a halt alongside her with a idle rustling of his wings. He looks to the sea-creature, his young brow curved into a frown. "What you think of sea-man?" he questions, eyeing the filly with interest. |
