So, not knowing the depth of sorrow he caused his family, he stalked the woman. Though hers was a light frame built for running long distances quite quickly, while his was a young frame growing into strength. So he had lost her (curiously quickly, as if she had just disappeared). But he had followed her close enough to the shore to hear a strange, booming call: “Helovians! I call to you again, but this time for fun! I've a challenge for you!”
And, immediately, his dark ambitions shouted in glee within his mind. A challenge?! One he could win. And such calls often earned a response from many Helovians. Perhaps…perhaps his sister would be present. Though his mind had been preoccupied by Goldie’s presence, the acute ache for his other half had never dulled during its entire duration. He had just been… ashamed by his actions around her after their encounter with the tierboskat. How could he make his other half feel insignificant? How could he do that to his sister, the only other being he loved?
So, it was with uncertain steps that he walked along the dunes. Still in the deep sand, he kept his distance as his eyes immediately (instinctively) fell on Kiada as his eyes peered out from the sandy knolls. And he waited, watching to see how she acted with this challenge.
There is only now.
sees @Kiada but hangs near the dunes, kind of hiding.
