Amalrik After telling his father that he was planning on going off toward the coast, the Engineer had followed as a silent, dark shadow. In fact, Ulrik was around - somewhere - but the goings on of Helovia no longer interested his old man. All he cared about was his machines and his family. The rest of this world could get bent. And, while Amalrik shared some of that philosophy, he had not seen the world as his father had. He still wanted to know all of the individuals he could eventually tell to get bent. Anyway, he found everything far more amusing that his grumpy father. Watching the failure of the universe seemed to make Ulrik sour, but Amalrik couldn't help but laugh - usually at inappropriate moments. But he was his father's son, what can you expect? So when he came upon a gathering, he was pleased and amused. The smirk widened, and he stayed back, watching the lemmings grab seaweed and run into the ocean like goddamn whales - far less graceful though. He chuckled, the sound deep as his voice was starting to change early (again, Ulrik's son). Even some pegasus was all pissed off about it, yelling in the face of a sea creature who looked about as attractive as... well... as can be expected for something with scales. Amalrik spied his cousin still on the shore, and he nodded, coming up beside the little Ellie in a bad-boy, protective kind of way. She seemed very turned off by the idea of going into the ocean, and he nudged her with his shoulder. "Smart move, Ellie," he chuckled. "Don't want to end up lookin' like ol' gill face there, eh?"
