Sohalia the Transcended
Nothing in this world could have prepared the Transcended for seeing the Moon Goddess in the flesh.
If she’d had her way, she would have lived the rest of her life without ever having to look upon the conniving But she couldn’t leave her daughter, who had trotted ahead, to be murdered by the evil queen Let’s forget, for a moment, that it had been Gaucho who’d technically done the killing. After all, Sohalia had made peace with that long ago. As the mother and daughter pair arrived at the large group that was gathering, she found herself propelled forward as though in a dream. All of the emotions that she had buried for the past few weeks came rushing to the surface, leaving her bicolored eyes glistening with unshed tears. This time, though, they were driven to the surface not as a result of grief, but of fury: if it was possible to bring a goddess to her knees, Sohalia would be praying for the strength to drive her sneering face into the sand. But she was nothing but an insignificant mortal, and the Moon, no doubt, had plenty of followers if she found herself in need of a defense. She’d probably fling them all into the warpath to save herself, anyway. Somehow, the pale lady found herself next to @Ampere, with Vinati on her other side. The mare’s lips were pressed into a thin, quivering line; her eyes were still glassy with the angry tears that threatened to overflow. Somehow, the Moon Goddess had become the target for all of Sohalia’s pent-up feelings. The artisan had never felt anger like this. If the blue looked over, she would see a stormcloud across the ivory dove’s usually kind façade, would note the aggravated lashing of her tail. For once, the mare could not swallow her feelings, could not banish them to a place where no one else would see. They were written across her face for all the world to see, and later, she would be ashamed of her lack of self-control. She said nothing. If she opened her mouth, she would lose her mind.
