The little sand princess was old enough now that she thought it quite silly to be chaperoned by her mother every time she set foot beyond the sands of the Dragon’s Throat. Even so, she rarely argued. After all, she couldn’t complain, could she? She was getting to explore the world after six long months of waiting. Vinati understood Sohalia’s trepidation; after all, her mother had been kidnapped and, on an entirely separate occasion, simply disappeared with no memory of what had transpired since she was last in Helovia, both while roaming the Wilds. But the girl had inherited her mother’s roaming heart, and she could not help but pine for the ability to go where she pleased, all in the name of gathering inspiration for her art.
The pair wandered until they reached the beach, but upon arriving on the sand, the girl saw her friends in the gathering crowd and bounded ahead. @Iskra and @Matheo were in conversation with some other foals that she didn’t know, and though she had started for their group, she changed direction when she noticed @Kolr toward the front, standing on her own. Well, that simply wouldn’t do, now, would it? So Vinati picked her way through the crowd until she stood beside the other girl, offering a cheerful smile and trying to nudge her shoulder. “Hello there,” she chirped in that distant, dreamy way that she had. “What a pretty rainbow!” The light reflected prettily in the fiery rose tucked behind Vinati’s ear and the blue-green whale strung around her neck. Oh, what she wouldn’t give to paint the air like the little equine girl!
