Ellie wasn't quite as interested in all this as Amalrik was, but she enjoyed the travel. She followed and lead, and they took turns. She was very glad to have the company, anyway. Miranda, her dragon, was still such a baby that every now and then she scratched and whined, and Amalrik was helpful in getting the kid's attention and distracting it - at least so she could sleep!

So, when they came upon a rather scary looking place, she shyly grumbled, watching the imp with mistrust. "It looks evil..." she murmured, sighing as Amalrik brashly stated his choice without hesitation. Ellie hoped to one day be just as brave. "TREAT!" she finally yelled, copying her cousin.
