He can't help but stare at the boy, more interested in his marbled coat, the walrus or whale or maybe even elephant style teeth jutting from his lower jaw, and the tiny, extra divisions of his hooves than the solidified smoke creature posing questions, though he acknowledges the shadow rams assumed importance and possible utility by answering more clearly. "I'd like a treat for once." One ear stays trained on the Basin youth though, his irrational draw to the boy strengthening with every new detail observed. He even has a beard he can see from the corner of one emerald eye. Whose child is this? He wonders...
