That Erthë would in fact like to hear one of Maude’s songs makes her both very eager to start, and very nervous, all at the same time. The realization that this is her very first performance for someone whom she is not related to strikes her quite suddenly, and, for a while, it leaves her quite flummoxed as to which of her repertoire to utilize. She has many (and I mean, many) songs about princes, and princesses. She has even more tales of parties, dances, and fairies, but which of these would her new friend like the most? Maybe she is just over thinking it all, anyway… Taking a deep breath, the tender hearted child of Arah and Tilney chooses her favorite: a song about Trewdwellan, and her family. Though her singing voice is certainly not delightful, or one which would be praised throughout kingdoms, its also not horrible, and that she is still a child serves greatly in her favor. “Trewdwellan, my root roofed home, the end to all paths I might roam; a place for my weary head to rest, and for my family to be their best!
