Which paved the way for other questions, like what else could she turn into? What else could she eat? What shouldn’t she eat?
Although she was aware that the new Sultana had asked everyone to travel in pairs, she wasn’t keen on that idea - tracking down her mother or brother could be a hassle and she had experiments to run so she wasn’t even sure she wanted them around. A quick trip across the fire bridge and she was near the Heart, brown eyes bright with excitement as she started her hunt. Her quarry? Well, she would find that out when she found it. The red dun filly, her wings brilliant striped with dark browns reminescent of the turkey form she had last taken, picked up a quick trot - unable to slow down her excitement enough to move any slower - and with her head lowered close to the ground she started weaving through the long grasses. This land was still warm, untouched by that nasty season called winter that turned the rest of Helovia bitter and cold, and it seemed to her that she would have the most luck in discovering an animal here.
What she would do if she caught one was not something she thought to consider just yet, however, so that remained a problem for future!Vastra.
As she travelled across the hard-packed ground, she discovered a pile of dung. Not horse-dung and not any animal she had ever come across before. Her nose screwed up with the smell but she looked at it curiously, wondering what it would taste like and, if she did eat it, what would she become?
for @Syrena!
Vastra is currently outside of the caves, scouting around in the grass :D
