Have you ever noticed how every hurricane gets its name from a girl like this?
You're gonna wish you had a storm warning; you're gonna wish you had a sign.

Cream hooves clashed with the skull of her opponent with the powerful thrust. For a moment she thought she could almost hear Toulouse's brain rattling around. With a gentle thud, her rear hooves landed on the soft ground of the battlefield. Digging into the sponge-like earth back legs bolted her body forward, and away from the man behind her. Again the fool just kept on talking and talking. The snake man blurted how "You cheated " by using magic. Her body shuddered slightly, not with fear, but from the sheer loudness of his roaring voice. For a moment she glanced away watching the birds fly off wishing, they would carry him away with them. God if only he could see himself. A light huff of aggravation rolled from her mouth. Did he expect her to fear someone that complained so much? If anything the words of hate and anger just fueled the fire in her chest more.

The lanky man slinked and slithered through the mud and slush. Her head tilted with a slight smile twisting on her face, and a wink of her eye to Tin. Tin's green eyes watched from a distance, and his focus remained on keeping them hidden. Raeden's sharpened horn followed the prowling man waiting for his next attack.  Teal eyes rolled as the man spluttered provocative words poking for a response, a giveaway, a falter in her silence. Raeden remained soundless waiting. Then....

"What are you DOING?!" "Why are you just watching?!" "They're hurting each other! This isn't funny! Stop it!"

Focus broke, and her attention flooded to her son, her only child. Why was he here? Someone had to take him away, comfort him, explain to him what was happening. Her heart shattered, and she forgot about the title Specter of Worlds Edge and remembered the title of a mother. The one who gave life, and would give her life for her son. Tears wanted to form in silver flecked eyes, and emotion washed over her. One cream hoof stepped forward, and it was clearly enough for her opponent to see. Tin tried to warn her; the companion screamed in her skull to move! Tin told her that the snake man couldn't see her, there is still a chance. Raeden was Frozen in time. Orbs locked on her son; she never saw the creature coming. When her attention snapped back to reality, it was too late.

The towering man almost leaped on top of her. His sharpened teeth stretched like a snakes fangs towards her shoulder. Burning, tearing, stinging, and puncturing overwhelmed her. Raeden out a deep guttural sound that ripped and clawed out of her mouth. The sound flew through the air like a demon claiming the lands, leaving no soul untouched. Pain rang though Tin's mind, and he shuttered with the feeling of his bonded, then his concentration fell. They faded in and out like a specter trying to from in front of everyone's eyes. Suddenly she was visible; blood leaked from the ripped flesh on her right shoulder. The pain almost took away the feeling of the scrape on her flank. It was pounding throbbing, but she had to fight through the pain. She was going to take down this lanky mutt. From what teal eyes could pick out breed wise, Raeden knew she could not out-run him. She could out maneuver him, though. Andalusian and Arabian blood coursed through her veins; making the mare a tad agiler.

Cream hooves shuffled in the muck trying to compensate for her shoulder. Her powerful rear legs dragged her pale body backward to look the snake man in the eyes.  Shut the FUCK UP !! The words spat at the man and exploded through the air. Raeden had enough of his words and mocking. She was going to fight this fucker and put him in his place. She was also going to be strong for her son.   I am Fine Gawen, go with Tilney Please! A loud voice pleaded to the boy. Tin encouraged Raeden to fight and push on; Tin pushed for her next attack. Golden ears pinned to her skull, and the mare reared into the air.  Her sweat-drenched neck lunged forward with a snake-like motion. Pearl white teeth attempted to reach his upper throat with a powerful snap of her jaws. Being shorter has its advantages.
