"Don't you know you're everything I have?" Trailing after Tilney and Maude she breathed in the frozen winter air. Soon Helovia would bloom to life as spring took over the lands. It was during this season that everything - and usually the inhabitants as well - came back to life. Each year the silver doe looked forwards to seeing the beautiful flowers, watching their vibrant colours take over the white washed lands. The cold had not gotten either Tilney or Maude down and Arah followed their lead, smiling at art daughter. She'd gotten so big since her...disappearance. It hurt and yet she was so incredibly grateful that Tilney had not collapsed and continued on without her. The strength the stag had showed in her absence was more than she could have hoped or asked for. Looking at the amazing creature before them she wonders his age and how many stories such a creature had to tell. Dipping her head respectfully, admirably, she is excited to learn what he had in store for them today. In all her time spent in Helovia she'd never before attended (or heard of) a Magic Day before. So she happily followed after her family, as the approached the gathered group she kept a watchful eye on Maude. Even while watching her daughter she did not miss the familiar faces in the crowd, please to see so many looking well. There was no way to truly know everything that had happened in her absence. So many members of the Edge were also gathered around the ancient turtle. Listening to the words of the turtle she pondered which of her items she'd leave by the tree, her crown or feather? Looking to Tilney who came with his cloak and his lions mane collar and of course his lantern. Before he stepped to the tree he knew which item would be decorating the branches. A smile lit up his maw and her partner stepped fourth to the trees and slid his lantern upon a high branch. A proud smile crossed her own maw and she listened to him speak and a delighted chuckle escaped as he chanted "Aiya!" and the lantern lit with a magnificent puff. Maude had watched her father’s lantern light and Arah's ears filled with the magical sound of her daughter's whimsical giggle. It was a beautiful sound, one that reminded her of her daughter's tender age and of Maude's beautiful nature. Arah was already so incredibly proud of the young girl, simply because she was such a delight to behold. The silver doe watches as Maude skilfully manages to wriggle and slide loose the strand of pearls and place them upon a reachable branch. Arah had been caught between wanting to assist and allowing her daughter to figure the problem out. Her daughter steps away and admires her work, beaming up at the turtle with pride. Arah watches in silence, also beaming with pride. Listening to her daughter speak she mentally adds the name Ultima to the list of others that she needed to thank for minding her daughter while she could not. The list seemed to be growing longer every other day. It takes a herd to raise a single child, still she regretted not being there during her daughter first few months. If she could go back in time and change those steps she took that day, she would. Maude returns to their sides and Arah beams down at their daughter, only to step forward herself. Wynter swoops down and removes the bright coloured feather from her mane and settles it on the branches of the tree. "I received this feather after a battle some time ago." She thinks back to the tree and the way everyone had gathered around it last time. "When I wear it I'm reminded that beautiful things can hurt, additionally, violence and vengeance only creates more." The endless circle, a circle that she contributed to and despite her best efforts continued to. "Yet one can always find strength in the darkest of times and two souls on opposing sides can pull through together, as one." Stepping back she allows others to have a turn, returning to Tilney and Maude's sides. [Arah places her feather in the tree] |
